DGP Chairs meet; directs officers to conduct exam in most transparent manner

Director General of Police, Dr. S.P. Vaid today chaired a high level meeting regarding the written examination for the post of Constables in J&K Police, which is being held on October, 8 (Sunday).

The meeting was attended by Surinder Kumar Gupta, IGP (Hqrs.) Chairman (TRP), Deepak Kumar Salathia, DIG Rajouri-Poonch Range, Gh. Hassan Bhat, DIG CKR, Srinagar, Bashir Ahmad Khan, SSP, Randeep Kumar, SSP, Smt. Rashmi Wazir, SSP, Dr. Koushal Sharma, SSP, Aftab Alam, ASP, members of the TRP and all the district SSsP.
DGP directed all district SSsP/SsP to provide all assistance to the Chairman as well as board members for conducting the examination across the State smoothly. The DGP impressed upon the members and the district SsP to conduct the examination in most transparent manner.
Chairman of the TRP Surinder Kumar Gupta briefed the DGP about the preparations of the written test. He said that the district SSsP have been directed to place Help Desks to facilitate candidates so that no candidate faces any problem. Timing of the examination is 11.00 a.m, duration is 2 hours and the paper will contain 100 multiple questions with 100 marks. There will be no negative marking. Reporting time for the candidates are 8.00 a.m in their respective centres, the Chairman stated further. The Chairman informed that the District SSsP have been designated as Controllers of Examination in their respective districts.

All the candidates have been directed that they should carry their admit cards alongwith valid ID proof, blue / black ball pen only. No electronic gadget including mobile, calculator, smart watch, digital watch, Bluetooth, ear speakers etc. are being allowed in the examination centre. The candidates can download their admit cards fromwww.jkpolice.gov.in.
